"The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society."
Pack #785 is located on the campus of St. Catherine Laboure Church/School and consists of many students from our school. However, you need not be from our school to join. Cub scouting is a continuous program that begins with Tiger Cubs, which are for boys under the age of 8, have completed kindergarten or be in the 1st grade and continues up to Webelos Scouts, who are usually in 4th or 5th grade, age 10 but not yet 11 1/2 years of age.
Boy Scouting, is for boys ages 11-17, boys old enough to be responsible on their own outdoors (with adult supervision) and able to be guided into leadership roles. Please visit www.scouting.org for more information on Boy Scouting of America.
If you are interested in joining, please contact Josie Zepeda, email: firstname.lastname@example.org, for information!
